Frequently Asked Questions

How much does counseling cost?

Your mental health is an investment, in time, money, and commitment. I am committed
in walking beside you during this counseling journey. The session fees run between
$130-$200

(80-minute sessions are an additional cost)

How long are the sessions?

Session lengths range from 45 minutes to 60 minutes. 80 minute sessions can be scheduled upon request and for an additional fee.

What are your hours?

Session times are available Monday-Thursday, mornings, afternoons, and evenings, please contact me at 469-502-6873 for a free 15-minute consultation

What does the first session look like?

The first session is considered an intake session and provides a chance for you to address any concerns or issues that has led you to seeking counseling. During this intake session you give history about yourself and family that has helped shape who you are. For teens this, parents are asked to attend the intake session. During this session you will determine treatment goals and frequency of follow-up sessions with the guidance of the therapist.

Do you accept insurance?

We are an out of network practice, which means we do not work directly with insurance
companies. Our clients pay us out of pocket. At any time, you can request an itemized
“superbill” to submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement if covered.

Why Clinicians Do Not Take Insurance: These involve enhanced quality of care and other advantages:

  1. You are in control of your care, including choosing your therapist, length of treatment, etc.
  2. Increased privacy and confidentiality (except for limits of confidentiality).
  3. Not having a mental health disorder diagnosis on your medical record.
  4. Consulting with me on non-psychiatric issues that are important to you that aren’t billable by insurance, such as learning how to cope with life changes, gaining more effective communication techniques for your relationships, increasing personal insight, and developing healthy new skills.

What is your cancellation policy?

We request at least a 24-hour notice for all cancellations. Fees will be
charged for cancellations made less than a 24-hour notice and for no shows. Please note that insurance companies will not reimburse you for missed session fees.
